YAD's Day Trip to Newport, RI

Join us for a fun and educational day in Newport, Rhode Island, beginning with a private walking tour tracing the steps of Newport's colonial-era Jewish community.

See where congregants of the historic Touro Synagogue lived, worked, and worshipped in the 1700s. After the tour, we will head over for a bite at Pour Judgement, located just a two-minute walk away. If time permits, we can walk to Newport’s historic shopping district or take a stroll along the scenic Cliff Walk to view the grand mansions that adorn the city.

You are welcome to join us for all or just part of the day. The weather will be our activity guide, as November can be iffy, but parking is easy—either free or metered!

The tour, along with your choice of an appetizer and beverage, is fully paid for through the generosity of YAD’s 2025–2026 Jewish Federation Match Grant Fundraiser.

You will need to provide your own transportation. The drive from Worcester takes about 90 minutes, so please check Google Maps to ensure you give yourself ample time to arrive. Our tour is on a strict schedule. We will coordinate carpools if you prefer to drive with others. More information on meeting points and parking will follow.
